Might be the first real blemish on Dwayne's acting career but it's a big blemish on his executive career.
Tried to keep the villain away from the main hero. Seemly embarrassed Cavill. The movie bombed and he lost a franchise.

I said in the Black Adam thread it would have been better to have a kid(Billy) trying to save Black Adam after his son failed to which would have feed into Billy feeling like an imposter in this movie for not stopping him

Honestly i think people just kind of tapped out on these safe ass choices by rock, including Black Adam. I mean...this is a meme for a reason:
He needs a Predator / Terminator / Total Recall / first blood / Escape from NY...some shyt that is unique and actually takes a little acting and takes a little risk by a director. Everything he does is a cash grab obviously.
There is a reason DAVE BAUTISTA is more respected in hollywood now.

For any of this to happen, The Rock would've had to actually give a shyt about Black Adam and the lore instead of trying to use it as a vehicle for his "The Rock is Superman" fantasy.

People are starting to see The Rock aint all Mr Nice guy lol. When all that Fast and The Furious beef was going on, everybody was getting on Vin Diesel and Tyrese like they HAD to be the issue. That cast has been tight like family for over 10 years with no issues that I can recall taking place between anyone in those movies, until The Rock, so I aint get why they aint get benefit of the doubt that maybe The Rock can be a cocky a$$hole who thinks he is the shyt. Totally believable that he was on some trying to take over the franchise type shyt and acting like he was bigger than letting Vin run the ship he been steering since the jump.
