She’s basically saying she is only working and not living, which is probably why you should do something you love doing so it doesn’t feel exactly like work.

I spent 40 minutes in traffic this morning commuting to work and will probably spend close to that amount again going home.. and that was actually a good day.

I’ve had worser commutes before and much worse, so it wasn’t too bad. I’ve also had easier ones or no commutes at all (wfh) but I usually spend that time listening to new music I discovered, listening to podcasts, praying, etc., something that interests me. The only real issue I have with my commute has to do with other people and their driving (or lack of it).

So she might be complaining but she’s not incorrect. By the time she does get home she’s probably not going to do shyt which is why I’m cool with going out after work sometimes to break up the monotony of every day life.

Which is another reason why I do say go to college after HS. College to me is nothing but a buffer to real life after HS. Once you leave college, most people are in a rat race. Another reason as to why that nomad lifestyle is becoming more popular with people these days, to get out of the rat race lifestyle but that comes with it’s own set of problems and issues

Been staring at the same potholes for over a decade that have been tearing cars up -> another potential expense for those who happen to drive that lane.

Yet I give 30-35% of my paycheck every year as do 200 million other Americans and in addition to the taxes for every single transaction/purchase made.

She's not right. Somehow, in some magical way, the majority of the rest of able bodied working individuals have a perfectly normal and fulfilling life. We go to the gym, we cook dinner, we hang out, we go on vacations etc. She is soft. She is a white woman. A young white woman. This world is made with her specifically in mind. If this bytch cant make it working a regular ass 9-5, she wouldve gotten picked off at the watering hole staring at her reflection if not for simps saying "she's right". She's complaining about how other people manage to do something she cant fathom being capable of doing. Its called work. Do that. Be good at it. Good enough to leverage your earnings. Then you can make enough to live in the city and not have to commute. So when you get off at 5, youre actually off. Or be good enough that you can leave at 3 or 4 to get home in time. Get up early and go to the gym or go after work. Not that hard. Its actually better and more convenient. But she lazy. She dont want to get up. She'll complain about how much time is wasted but I bet she spends HOURS on Tiktok scrolling. Time better suited elsewhere. But that...would require effort. The bane of lazy folks.

I think a lot of people that do the most complaining have a very high screen time on their phone. If they put half of that time into some personal ventures they might be a bit further along. Plus absorbing all that lifestyle content just makes you mentally start comparing your life to theirs if you're not grounded of course you'll end up depressed and thinking life isn't working for you
