That isn't hearsay. Hearsay would be relying on statements made outside of the trial e.g. "My neighbour told me that they saw someone else take the food".

She can take a picture of the food outside of his place. All that will prove to a judge is that she left the food at spot at that moment in time. It will not prove that the resident took the food. She would need a photo of the handover.
