I generally agree with your post because i hate entitlement. She has the right to decide whatever she wants or doesn't want and same goes for him.

But as far as the original reddit post, without more context, i actually think it's the opposite. Meaning i think the girl was feeling him at first and wanted to fukk early but he was too slow to make a move (she asked him to her place initiated dancing, watch movies, etc. in the first few days). And after 7 days he asks her if he can kiss her...now I'm all for consent but i think at that point, the girl is feeling like dude is not confident, inexperienced, etc and lost attraction.

A lot of guys fukk up by being too hesitant to ask her out, to kiss her, to make a move. The reasons for that would be a whole other thread...
