This could be a strategic career move. She makes R&B music, and black women are the largest consumers of such music. You need black women to relate to you/like you if you wanna sell. Being the 'pretty lightskin' girl just conjures up resentment and animosity amongst black women. Purposefully gaining weight may be an attempt at making herself more relatable to that demographic.

I wonder what happened there, but it's easy to gain weight without discipline. Food is delicious.

I leaned out to 220 pounds only to balloon back up to 290 when my girl left me, lost my job, etc.

Eating being a comfort is very dangerous. When you truly enjoy food, you have to understand that eating boring 85% of the time is a necessary change.

Currently at 250, so I'm on the comeback tour
