Call her and ask her what exactly about us she wants to discuss. tell her the best way for you two to have a productive convo is for both of you to go in knowing what she wants to talk about. if she still doesn't want to say after that, then you know she's either trying to put you on the spot about something she wants or playing games. either way i would cancel the dinner or if i go to the dinner and i'm not ready for whatever comes out the hat, i just say i don't know to anything she asks, tell her she had all the time in the world to think about and articulate whatever it is she is saying and that i need to take that same time.
