Hoes ain't NEVER happy :snoop:

Reminds me of the time when I was walking home from junior high school back in the day

And this lady walks towards me asking if the store around the barbershop around the corner is open today

I responded respectfully..

"yes ma'am"....it is open today"

She responds in a hostile manner

"DONT CALL ME MA'AM..I AINT EVEN TURNED 30 YET"
:usure:

ME::picard:

I was confused but enlightened at the same Time....

Because I realized right then...

B1TCHES ARE CRAZY
:manny:
Breh I do my best to be as polite/respectful as possible irl

I use "sir" and "maam" when referring to any and everyone, including children

Tell me why every single female I've ever messed around with has gotten upset with me for saying "yes maam" or "no maam":martin:

Like they've ALL made it a point to tell me that they dont like being referred to as a "maam"

Some of them even preferred "bytch" over "maam":Ray_J_1:

Imagine a nikka about to get interviewed and the chick calls u

"gramps" :deadmanny:

This had no correlation to the point trying to be made, pleighboi. Why would anyone in a professional job setting call someome theyre about to interview, auntie or uncle/gramps.

Or maybe you ment interview as in, a woman trying to holla at you ? Either way point still stands, you or i have never heard someone try to flirt with another person we/they find attractive by saying that.

Yep it us but also in those cultures its a sign of pride getting old. In America folks look at getting old as shameful.

Americans have a fukked up view of old age.

Yeah like we called old women “ol ma” as in the old mother and that is a sign of respect. I’ve seen Geechie people say “umma” which is essentially the same.

Yep the same in the south. Its out of respect. I don't even trip when young kids call me sir. At least I know the kids got some home training.

"gramps" ...

Older dudes do get called “Unc”

For dudes it’s the “age/experience identifier” usually runs like ..

Lil bro / bruh / breh
Bro / bruh / breh
Big Bro / bruh / breh
Unc / OG
OG

For women it’s primarily

Sis
Auntie

... I think “great Auntie” should be added just for labeling purposes (if a woman is of a certain age and still trying to be in the game and/or actively seeking male attention) but I’d never call a woman that who wasn’t my real great Aunt.

Yoooo that ma’am shyt is waaaay different now ... :wow:

You hit a woman of a certain age and/or flattop level with “yes ma’am” when she thinks she’s killing it ... and you can literally see her soul exit her body :wow:

Especially if you’re younger and/or less flattopped than her...

You can literally see the soul floating in the air...

Never really been a “sir or ma’am person” unless it’s customer service related where anyone who doesn’t look like a child gets a “sir or ma’am” from me... so I don’t get caught in those traps .

Honestly think Auntie was probably used more toward women of a certain age in certain social circles instead of ma’am to avoid that growing backlash ... but now they don’t even want that lol

But Remember there was a time when women embraced and even required being called ma’am ? The age is getting younger and younger where ma’am is becoming an issue and not embraced at all... no one wants to embrace their age/experience level anymore ...

When that 30’s the new 20 and 40’s the new 30 shyt got poppin in pop culture and filtered out to social media , it seeped into general society and worsened the whole aging insecurity thing up even worse ... it’s like people are struggling to age gracefully now moreso than ever before ...

... and it’s super prevalent on here :mjlol:

You got the ageism issues in rap where “old heads” and the youngins have drama ...

There was a time when as a teen , you wanted to be around dudes who had a number of years on you ... it used to be a badge of honor ...

Now the teens (at least on social media) reject being around the big bros and “old heads” ...

The media pitting different generations against each other ... shyt is weird ... I feel like people weren’t even thinking like that a decade ago or so ago ...

And the 40+ year old grandmas clubbing with the daughter ...

... what has the world come to ?!!
