No it wouldn't. The only options I can think of worse than Sheamus as champ are cena or miz winning it. Not only does he have no credibility, but holy shyt is he boring. He's been doing nothing basically since his 2012 WHC reign ended. No direction for 3 years now. What reason is there to care about this guy?

I like Sheamus.
Do I think he should be champ, or even have won MITB in the first place? No.
But for a guy who got his job through nepotism, you can't say he hasn't put that work in.
He's been bloodied, bruised, and put people over. He didn't bytch up like Roman, when Daniel Bryan's fans brought backlash.
And maybe people can begin to truly appreciate how awesome his new entrance is. Seriously.

Do the fans still chant "You look stupid!" every time Sheamus is in the ring? Because that is really not the type of heel heat you want for your world champ.
Well Rollins was a massive disappointment as a heel champ too. Following one flop with another flop (who has been flopping for years btw) is not very smart.More heat than Seth Rollins got.
