Who gives a shyt how long you've been in the relationship. If someone slams your head against a car door and you choose to stay you are an idiot. Point blank period. I don't have any sympathy for women who can leave but choose to stay in those relationships. Oh please the fact that women of all economic backgrounds are still willing to be with a man who is an alleged abuser shows that women put themselves in stupid situations. A lot of women choose to stay in abusive relationships because they think the man will change. Those women are stupid. Yeah yeah I know they fear dying if they leave. Yet they feel staying with the man abusing them doesn't mean the next day they can die.

..the college educated and middle class former couple in the OP were exactly struggling financially..like the Dr. Umar explained in the black community similar to street violence basically weak blackmen taking their frustration out on their own people cause they are to scared to confront white supremacy.. but to play devil's advocate even if poverty was a factor it's still no excuse for a blackman to be beating his own women and children to a pulp with a baseball..poverty in the black community is totally exaggerated even most the poorest of AAs(outside of he homeless) aren't going hungry,missing many meals, and have a roof over the head.. and since when does being poor an excuse for being a cold blooded killer...you sound as stupid as those fake black intellectuals whom act as apologist for gangs and drug dealers destroying the black community cause they are a product of their environment and whitey want hire them
