This is lowkey a win. He already showed what he can do. I doubt Dillon Gabriel is going to look as good so it'll apply more pressure on the Browns to move Shedeur up the depth chart

How is this a win?

If the coaching staff wanted him they would've taken him in the 3rd and not Gabriel. He's still playing for a spot and can't afford to miss games n

If Gabriel doesn't look good they can always say it's due to him facing a superior Eagles defense while Shedeur played against a bad Panthers defense. Him looking bad probably means they'll stick with Pickett as QB2 which leaves one spot left. The GM isn't going to want his 3rd round pick on the practice squad or cut and if this injury lingers Shedeur is even less likely to make the team.

Everything from the draft to having him at QB4 said he's not their guy. Unless they trade Pickett or Gabriel is a flat out disaster he's a longshot to make it. I said before his best bet is a team like the Jets trades for him and gets him out of Cleveland.

If Dillon stinks it up, and there's a strong chance he will, this will not set him back. We'll see what happens...
nah they got him as their 1st qb pick he is in, you don't spend that draft capital and get rid of it after one bad start. They have Shadeur slated as a late round project that could make the team but when they brought in two vets, his odds of making the team are large (shedeur that is).

He needs to play though period. He should have toughed it out and played. He is a long shot to get on another team.

:dahell:
hes a 5th round pick, 4th on the depth chart and played like 2 quarters

and yet had the highest PFF grade out of any QB who played that week. He'll be fine. I'm betting on Dillon not replicating his performance. I think he'll move up the depth chart soon enough

That might be a Browns issue. I'm not saying he doesn't need to play. I just think if/when Dillon stinks it up it'll show even more how incompetent Cleveland is
