This the most talked about 5th round pick ever lol…

He been moving on bad advice, it seems, for a min. People put up with antics when the talent is undeniable, kinda like they did with his pops. He comes off aloof at best and arrogant at worst…

In my mind, he’s in QB-starved Cleveland, he can’t make it past 3rd on the depth chart isn’t some conspiracy, if he was better, they’d put him out there no doubt. Cats think he just gets out there and he’s instantly better than half the league? I’m watching Cam Ward, who I feel is a better QB than him, not come in blazing the league. Sitting isn’t bad. Hell, thats partly why qb play is so poor. You start guys before they’re “ready”…

Dudes think because he got his jersey retired at Colorado, and his last name means he’s gonna be some sure-fire thing. If you watched them games, dude was struggling against some of the better talent they played. I’m not trying to hate, I’m just trying to make sense of how dudes on here think. We’ll see if all this was worth it. Getting a “shot” this year may not be the best thing but :manny: yall got it

Shedeur have terrible mechanics. I hate he's paddle 10 yards back when scrambling like he's on Madden and take sacks every time. Good he is learning from Flacco, but he isn't overtaking Dillon. Owner wipes his hand with the pick. Only time he gets on field is to injury for Flacco and Gabriel.

If people watched, all of this was evident in college…

Coli posters for the past 5 months: It's collusion what's happening to Shedeur and every team in the league is on it to ensure that he fell in the draft. They're doing this to teach him and Prime a lesson:mjpls:

Coli posters after Shedeur juelzing: "Who cares if he turned down getting drafted the Ravens?" "What's the point in them even asking him these questions?" :russ:

Jordan Love sat behind Rodgers
Rodgers sat behind Favre
Brady sat behind Bledsoe
Rivers sat behind Brees
Young sat behind Montana

If you have talent, you'll get a shot. Declining because you just want immediate playing time is not a good look.
Brees was not yet the brees we came to know and they drafted rivers after the team went like 3-13. Brady was a 6th rounder who got drafted to a mediocre team with a qb with more interceptions than tds. Rodgers we all know, and people speculate that they had the same plan for Love. Plus Lamar is 28, rodgers was a decade older.

Don’t know much about the old heads but from my understanding young was deemed a bust just happy to take any job. And then luckily Montana was out for two seasons.

Context matters, none of these are like Sanders. Specially if we consider that people, including his ultra knowledgeable dad and his ultra knowledgeable friends, are gassing you up to easily be the #1 QB.

Exactly. One of the best organizations in the league willing to draft you immediately kills the "they collectively decided to collude against him" narrative for Prime stans.

And ultimately, it was yet another calculated gamble that seems to have failed for the Sanders family. Learning behind a future HOF talent on a stable organization is a much better alternative than being QB3 on the Browns who will draft another QB next year anyway.

Anyway, I'm placing the blame for how poorly his draft process was handled squarely on Deion's shoulders. It's clear as day he was receiving some horrific advice from his dad. Should've just told that nikka to kick rocks and hired a real agent to prepare him for the draft.

You're so thirsty to hate on every black athlete the streets fukks with its pathetic. Ravens being willing to draft Shaduer in the fifth round doesn't kill shyt. He should've been drafted in the early rounds, the league was trying to teach Prime a lesson it's as simple as that.

WHY IN THE fukk
WOULD HE WANT TO
SPEND HIS CAREER SITTING
BEHIND LAMAR?

HE MIGHT ACTUALLY
GET TO START THIS SEASON
IN CLEVELAND.

Tyrod Taylor sitting Behind Flacco parlayed into starter opportunities elsewhere.

Tyler Huntley behind Lamar got him spot duty in blowouts, playing time and a pro bowl spot since Lamar has not been an iron man. That lead to Tyler having opportunities elsewhere and was almost Ravens starter when Lamar wasn't feeling contract offers a few years back.

If you getting drafted in later rounds may as well go to a stable organization. We seen Matt Flynn play one good/great game Behind Aaron Rodgers and get a contract with Seattle.

Giant passing on him was weird, but apparently him and the Coach didn't have a good meeting.

Why no one talks about the Steelers passing on him is "interesting". Tomlin obviously didn't want him.

Saints? That was another one that was puzzling.

Browns taking Gabriel before him really made no sense. Browns GM didn't think highly of him obviously.

After those 4, who was really pressed for a QB? If the above 4 didn't want him like that, I see why he slid. But to still slide to the 5th round is crazy even if Deion and him may have been doing too much to try and guide him to teams they wanted.

I can't remember who it was but wasn't there a backup in Philly or Atlanta that ended up getting starting job in Houston. If you excel at being a backup you can get a shot. Was it Kolb? Or Schaub? Same thing with Matt Flynn. Shadeur is better than all of them right?

Ehh... I'm a Ravens fan but they're not exactly known for developing quarterbacks outside of Lamar Jackson ( who is obviously an anomaly)
Dog. He went to the fukking browns.

The one thing I'll say is that the QB is the one position where the team you end up on makes the biggest difference. It's much easier to break in and get a chance at a skill position. It's not like that with a QB.

Love, Rodgers, Mahomes (one year), and some others have had to wait behind other QB's before getting their first start, but they were behind older QB's (Smith was 32) at the time. You almost need an injury or Jimmy G situation where Brady was suspended (wrongfully) to get a chance to showcase your talent and ability as a backup, especially when you are behind a young future first ballot HOF QB.

With that being said, does it not make a lot of the post draft talk about how Shedeur conducted himself with teams make more sense? There's definitely more fire to it.

This is why I hope it isn't true.

me either.

Do I think Deion overplayed his hand? Probably.

Do I think Shedeur was wilding the way some in the media acted like he was doing? No.

Plenty of QBs have been confident/arrogant, so to try and discredit Shedeur for that during interviews is ridiculous.

There's obviously some things that occured with some interviews that people didn't like (appearance, his pops maybe doing too much). But I don't believe that he was some super unprofessional dikkhead during the process.
