Biggest issue IMO is there really weren't that many teams that needed to draft a QB early

Only 4 were

Giants - we know how they don't like nikkaz at QB
Saints - Deion probably didn't want him there
Browns - Another shytshow QB wise
Steelers - no one had smoke for them passing on him. :patrice:

everywhere else he'd be a backup behind a QB that is already entrenched as a starter. So no need to take a QB early. When the Saints and Giants passed on him and took other QBs, he was gonna drop or goto a team where he wasn't gonna get a chance to legit compete for a starting job.

But he should have been off the board after Cam and Dart. For Slough, Gabriel, and even Jalen fukkin Milroe to go ahead of him was comedy.

Raiders should have drafted Shedeur. Especially with Geno Smith reverting back to NY Jets Geno.

Maybe Tom Brady and Pete Carroll didn't want him. :patrice:

I'll take that

Also even beyond Mel Kiper, lets look on whats gone on on the actual field. The preseason game he started he was playing with players who actually made the team and he played great. The last preseason game he's literally on the field with no one who made the team, he plays like ass and everyone writes him off and acts like that's who he is. Even on the field he's shown good things with actual viable players around him. So what's all this assumption that's he is just trash?? Dudes are talking like even if he gets a chance to start he'll do bad

Lamar has been healthy most of his career, he hasn't missed a game due to injury since 2022. No reason for Deion and Shedeur to just assume oh yeah let's to the Ravens we'll for sure get a shot soon. Once it was clear people were working against him and he was gonna get drafted late, it was about getting to a team where he had a more likely shot at starting eventually.
Are most treating him like trash? Seems more his stans are upset everything isn’t being given to him on a silver platter like they want. If he is that guy he’ll eventually get his shot. He’s a rookie let’s give it time.

At the end of the day, there is one thing NFL teams care about.........winning! No coach is going to start a QB that they think gives them a worse chance of winning than another QB on the team. It's just an absurd line of thinking some people have.

What other seasons? He's played 7 seasons and got hurt in 2 of them. Before this season the last game he missed for injury for 2022.

So in 2025 you wanted Deion and Sheduer to pick the Ravens under the assumption Lavar will get hurt because of three years ago. :unimpressed:

It's also about margin of victory. Ravens have blown out more teams than any other in the Lamar era during regular season.

Getting mop up duty, end of season duty & possibly injury duty.

LOL. He's better than Dillion Gabriel. He started a preseason game with actual NFL players and balled out while Dillon threw pick 6's.

Thinking Shedeur should've been the #2 over Dillon is a silver platter? :unimpressed: Thinking Sheduer should've been 1st-3rd rounder instead of a 5th isa silver platter :unimpressed:

On this forum, yes he's talked about like he's trash, most guys talk about him like he's guaranteed to fail even when he gets a chance and acting like him falling to the 5th round was valid. Some just want him to fail so they can clown the Prime wave.

You can't make a decision based on that especially when you're dealing with external factors pushing you deep down the draft board. Cleveland was a decent choice because you already knew Flacco wouldn't last, and I'm sure Sheduer is confident he's better than Dillon.

If Dillon plays bad we'll see if they go back to Flacco or give Sheduer a shot. If they go back to Flacco then it's obvious they're freezing Sheduer out, but certain nikkas here will act obtuse about it.

Anomalies are not the norm.

The coach didn't want dude, the GM just took a flyer since he kept dropping. And Gabriel did play better in the preseason overall.

Thing cats overlook is that during practice, the snaps are limited on plays. You run a play 10 times, QB1 is getting 6/7 reps, QB2 gets 2/3 reps, QB3 maybe one?

If Gabriel stinks it up and they still go back to Flacco (Granted he's QB2), and skip Shedeur again then :francis: .

Deion really overplayed his hand in this the more I think about it. It's obvious you don't have the cache' to tell teams you don't want your son playing for them. Deion thinks Sheduer was who he was, he wasn't. Deion could tell the Giants who were picking in the middle of the draft that he wasn't gonna be there so no need to talk to yall. Shedeur couldn't. The few teams that actually needed QBs were the Giants, Saints, Steelers, Browns. Everyone else already had their guy or a guy set as QB1. The Giants meeting, even though they are :mjpls: on black QBs, didn't go wel (fukk Daboll tho). Saints passing on him, but I could see Deion not wanting to go there. The Browns....we see who they actually wanted in Gabriel. But I find it interesting that no one brings smoke to the Steelers and Tomlin for skipping over him. :patrice:

A good backup place woulda been the Rams IMO. Could learn under McVay/Stafford and maybe take the reigns
Agreed, but again we've seen lower round players outplay higher ones all the time and jump them on the depth chart.

If Shedeur had set the world on fire behind the scenes, then it wouldn't matter if the coach didn't want him as he would help save everybody's in that organizations job.

Him and Prime need to get on the same page as all they're doing is contradicting every other publicly and proving all the rumors as being true. All Prime did was make things worse by acknowledging those Raven rumors as being true especially considering you had a lot of supporters including posters on this site giving them the benefit of a doubt in it not being true.

Yeah, he'd have to be head and shoulders above Dillon in his limited practice reps. That's too much to ask. Dillons mobility is also >>> Shedeur. He's in a tough spot.

Shouldn’t be a tall task at all considering people who think he’s better than Dillion.

He’ll get a shot IMO, but it’s going to be too late and all of them are getting replaced by a new regime and GM.

Sure but it's still picking a historically bad organization over a historically good organization. And given that the Sanders camp knew the Browns had already drafted a QB two rounds earlier it makes even less sense to go there.

I see what you mean, but i dont think Prime or Sheduer were pressed about Dillon during that moment. That's probably why they figured the Browns were worth a shot. I'm assuming they honestly felt he would get the backup job regardless. They were about even in the preseason since Sheduer didnt play the 2nd game, but I'd give the nod to Sheduer based off how he played vs the Eagles.

Y’all still crying about a QB that got shut out by BYU in the Alamo Bowl? I’m positively shocked an organization would go with a big ten winning QB over a guy who went .500 in the weakest conference in the P5 and has massive character issues and baggage.

It’s almost like NFL teams don’t want a guy who takes 20 yard sacks to protect his completion %.

Imagine having to go from watching 2 years of Colorado football to the Browns all because you Stan a nepo baby :picard:
