ESPN NBA insider Ramona Shelburne shared some embarrassing details about the Los Angeles Lakers’ trade for New Orleans Pelicans All-Star big man Anthony Davis during her appearance on The Jump this afternoon.
Apparently, the Lakers front office wasn’t really thinking about cap space when they made the trade for Davis over the weekend.
Los Angeles is reportedly now “scrambling” to create space for a third max player this summer, with stars like Kemba Walker and Jimmy Butler available.
“They went all the way down the road and it’s been described to me as a ‘the Lakers called back,’ after everything had been discussed about this,” she said.
