Sherman is not athletic enough to go one on one with upper tier wrs (see dez Bryant) but he is a very smart cb who understands how to play within his scheme perfectly.

That allows him to make plays and he makes the most plays by any cb in the league right now

Every great coverage guy is gonna have outlier games where they get beat. ALL the rules favor offense. Sherman and more specifically Seattle's D is getting the best shot from opposing offenses every game and still holding it down. And he's doing it with less supporting help than last year.
