I made it near the end of the 1st one and got stuck.

I copped this, and I just realized that I have the original game and have never opened it 
im stuck on the first boss. id hate to have to change the difficulty like a bytch but damn. its killing my whole mission with one hit

You really have to continually fuse better demons. I mean you can have maybe one or two lower level demons with an outrageously high stat, but other than that you can't slack off on fusing powerful demons.

Ohhhh, well keep that in mind for future reference then. Even if you lower the difficulty your demons will still need to be on point.

Oh yeah, skill crack Holy Dance and equip it to Fumi, and skill crack Assassinate and equip it to Hina. You can one hit kill a lot of demons with those skills with those two's stats being what they are. Also almost nothing in the game can resit/repel/reflect Holy Dance. Holy Dance on Fumi is almost like a cheat code
i've only touched nocturne (which was fire) so this looks interesting. just not feeling this handheld shift japan has been doing for the past decade.
