Feels like Atlus got locked into some deal where they had to release the best version on Switch that it can do. Then make their ideal version of the game with the definitive edition. That would be the only explanation.

I think this one actually deserves a rerelase though, the original needed more time to bake in the oven. I’m especially excited it’s being put on non-switch platforms

It was a great game on the Switch. The damn game just couldn't run well that the Switch performance wise.

I loved the original on Switch and this seems to be a major improvement in every way

I don't think I can do another run of this for a while but highly recommend this game to anyone remotely interested
