Did you not read the OP? It said there that he wanted ellsbury money which is another 30 mill on top of the 140 mill the yankees offered. The yankees decided to decline.

Seems apparent that he rejected it because he doesn't want to be here & deal with all this. I think that was discussed prior to him hitting the market anyway. He ain't about this life.

nikka did you read the OP? Ellsbury got 7/148. This was clearly leaked by Boras to the media to get the Astros to up their offer(which he has in hand).

1. Agent told him to hold out for better offers.
2. Choo would rather play elsewhere.
