How do I move a thread?

its so many things you can do and everyone is different I used to get really bad shin splints when i was in Regiment but I realize that came from the reality of me being to heavy to go on daily 4-8 mile runs. I have not got any shin splints ever since I went back to the Regular Army...

Cold Compresses and baths/showers is what worked for me. Also making sure I had the proper shoes. Some shoes are only good for so long before they hinder more than help.

I heard pineapple helps, but that's probably an old wives tale. I tried it anyway. Ice and elevate. If you have access to a hottub, stretching and relaxing with epsomsalt might help too.

How old are you? I got them in my late teens while training for the royal marines all that running and marching in boots , and apparently active people in their late teens get them but it should go in the end, Took about six months for my shin splints to go. Obviously adults can get it as well but I remember a doctor telling me ,the type I had is common in young active people of a certain age and it tends to go by itself .Also get your feet looked at in a running shop as there are different running shoes for ,for instance people who pronate when they run . You might need a more supportive shoe.

Yo aight I suffered with this shyt my 9th and 10th grade year when I was still doing Track. The best thing to do is get some dixie cups fill that shyt up with water then put that shyt in the freezer and let it freeze. Once done take that shyt out of the freezer and rub the frozen surface in a circle around the affected area for 10 mins about 2 or 3 times a day. DO NOT RUN for atleast a week. Shyt should be healed within 2 weeks. You should also look into orthotic inserts for your shoes or shoes tailor made for your type of feet because depending on how high or low your arch is that contributes to shin splints.

Painful as hell. They got to me after about a mile and a half when I ran a 5K last month.
