How old are you? I got them in my late teens while training for the royal marines all that running and marching in boots , and apparently active people in their late teens get them but it should go in the end, Took about six months for my shin splints to go. Obviously adults can get it as well but I remember a doctor telling me ,the type I had is common in young active people of a certain age and it tends to go by itself .Also get your feet looked at in a running shop as there are different running shoes for ,for instance people who pronate when they run . You might need a more supportive shoe.
