If it was that easy Vince would have pushed an asian character a long time ago. Them asian cats like the larger than life superstars like Cena or Brock who look like Godzirra to them. Not to say they won't buy his merch, but I doubt WWE is having any trouble at the moment attracting asian fans anyway.

There hasn't been anyone outside of Great Muta who has the charisma to be pushed previously in the US like Nakamura has.
People will support those stars/people who come from the same heritage as they do, especially in sports and entertainment industries.
Look at OJ and Mike Jack, accepted and very high profile people in LA white society, , who some people felt had left the black community behind or wanted to remove themselves from" being black". As soon as the legal issues started. The black community regardless of what they were suppose to of done, showed those two unwavering support.

Hopefully we get motivated Nakamura more often than not on SD. He's inconsistent as fukk and NXT didn't help him get better at it. There's so many dope matchups he can have with the main roster that it's kinda hard picturing him not having dope matches on the regular though:purogang:
He turns into Orton when he phones it in. And he's phoned it in plenty of times in NXT and NJPW

@Momentum opinion that Nakamura could flounder has merit. He currently, to the vast majority of American fans, that Japanese guy with the entrance. Y'all talk about Bobby ROODE being an entrance...Nakamura definitely is to most WWE fans. I don't share the opinion (or an opinion, not to put words on his mouth), that he will fail, but that act has a shelf life.

He'll be one of (if not the) most over guys on the roster in the cities where it's important to be over, ie. Royal Rumble, Summerslam, Survivor Series locations. It goes without saying that he'll be meagstar status in front of a Mania crowd
If he doesn't fully connect on a flyover state Raw or Smackdown with an audience who will probably be quiet for 90% of the show anyway, it's not the end of the world.
