PAC fukked with DU heavy. He stayed giving Shock G his props to the very end. You might say he woulda blew without them but PAC would be the first one to say it was DU that put him on. shyt his whole first album he was calling himself “the rebel of the underground”.

PAC had a gift regardless but we may never have heard it if they didn’t put him on

Shock was hella talented. Sheesh. Love this remix. So talented.

Shock was especially talented on those keys. I used to just look up Shock G doing piano covers of past tracks. Dude really kept the funk alive, and he came with those bass heavy early mobb tracks too. One of the first rappers from that Bootsy pfunk lineage. What a huge loss. Let’s not minimize Shocks legend. Bay Area legend. Westcoast legend, and underrated hip hop legend.

I’m not sure what’s been going on with Shock the last couple years... I couldn’t the weird shyt with “Young Hump” taking his gimmick AND working with Money B...
In 2018, I was trying to track down an affordable 90’s rapper for a “90’s themed” birthday party and couldn’t find ANY management contact info for him, or any recently updated social media. Really seemed odd, I consider myself a “google ninja”... hated to assume the worst but figured he was struggling with drugs or something
