There are FPS drops on PC too. Angry Centaur mentioned them in his review

Just kill Gamebryo and switch to Unreal Engine 4 Bethesda.
It probably was a 360/PS3 game at first but scrapped it at the last minute.

Idk, the few hours I've played, it's ran/looked fine for me. But I'm used to consoles so I'm not gonna be as much of a nitpicking elitist like some of these other dudes
What about GTAV?Still much better than performance of their games on last gen, specifically the PS3.
These games do things that no other game attempts to do. That comes at a cost in performance.
And plenty of games have had some really bad drops this gen.

Much different in scope.
In gta you can't go into most buildings, in fallout not only can you go in most buildings, a lot of them are pretty large levels within themselves.
Also NPCs in gta are basically just mindless going through the motions. In fallout NPCs usually have something to say and have their own daily routine.
And lastly ALL items in fallout are physics based and persistent. Dead enemies stay dead where you left them, any gun you put down will stay there until you come back. NPCs you kill are gone forever, and the rest of the world reacts to their demise.

Diamond City gave me some noticeable drops, and a couple engagements with Raiders have too. Otherwise I've been playing on Ultra errything but God Rays on a FX-8320/GTX 970 and been floating between 50-60+ for the most part.
Yeah, there's so much going on in Fallout games I'm surprised these games aren't complete trash on consoles.
People look at the graphics and criticize but they don't realize everything from the physics, to breaking down every material for use, to permanent status of items and npcs is what makes Fallout hard to handle unless you have decent hardware.
