Shoe sizing help!!

I bought a pair of raf Simmons velco shoe size 44. I wear a 43 which is 10 I think. I can wear a 10.5 and 11. Is the size 44 shoe too big??

I have heard they run a half size big....So if you bought a 44 it sounds like youll have some room in the toe...
