Tokyo Vice is a bad show in general, so even an unlikeable character from Shogun will be much better than the Tokyo Vice protagonist.

Props to 5-6 Japanese actors holding Tokyo Vice together. From the bad original material by the real Jake Adelstein to bad acting by the fake Jake Adelstein to awful interactions between American and Japanese characters, it's just frustrating show to watch. I gave up on episode two of season 2.

If that show was based in Berlin instead of Tokyo it would've been canceled right away.
Gave up and missed out on Cinema
Tsk tsk your loss

I think the only time I was looking forward to what the Anjin could do was that last ep with the pistols. Even then he was kinda meh. Guess that long reload time is why he carried two of them.
Guns didn't start becoming the supreme weapon until around the mid 1800's. Before then the best weapon was the bow and arrow due to the reload time you mentioned but also because rifling was not widely used in guns until like the late 1700's/early 1800's. Before rifling, bullets would veer off wildly from where you actually aimed, so guns were super inaccurate.

Tonight we see if Toranaga's plan works, and if Mariko's sacrifice will be honored.

All I know is, before the episode ends we better be saying R.I.P. to that traitor Yabushige :pacspit:
