Short horror story I wrote.

[Neuromancer]

Jon and Bob go camping and on their last day they pack up. Mid pack Jon goes to take a piss and Bob finishes up and waits for him in the driver's seat. A few seconds later Jon comes back and gets in the car and they drive off. While on the road Bob gets a call and answers.

"Hello?"

He hears the voice come over the phone clear as crystal. "Dude, it's Jon. Why did you leave me here?"

Bob's eyes go wide.

It was Amanda's birthday. She would have been 8 years old. Her mother went in the kitchen that evening to get a drink of wine...to ease a long night of crying. She headed to the sink to wash out her wine glass, when something outside the window caught her eye. No...it couldn't be.There was Amanda swinging somberly on the swing set.
