you could get a meal which included meat, chips, soda for like $7

sandwich was like $3-4 and just the meat and bread

if the bread was lightly toasted and the fish cut in half so it more or less fit under the bread. That would at least show more than the bare minimum sandwich kit was used.

Some of yall eat catfish sandwich different from me. I never heard of anyone putting lettuce, tomatoes, or cheese on a a catfish sandwich. I would think that a catfish sandwich would taste weird with tomatoes or cheese on it.

Because this is what a lot of us get and low key it’s some of the best tasting fish/pork chop/rib tip/chicken sandwiches you will get. What you know about a chicken sandwich just being a breast or wings with a piece of bread for $4.50.

You can tell that these folks have never hit up a hood spot or a country restaurant. That is a normal looking catfish sandwich in the Black restaurants I have usually hit up.
