So some random local producer says something is corny and its thread worthy?

How is a commerical about making an album corny though, its one thing if you don't like Jay and you just think he is corny but this just sounds like sour grapes or some shyt

nikkas mad cause their artists can't get a 5 min album promo commericial during halftime of the NBA Finals :lolbron:

Where are you getting this info from? Because this is the first I'm hearing of it and a quick Google search brought up nothing.

I know he was offered the Jay-Z DJ spot that eventually went to (I think) Green Lantern (could be Young Guru, not sure the chronology), but he turned it down because he wanted to focus on running the label (why he quit DJing for 'Ye in the first place)

A-Trak Profile Page: Biography, Interview and Album Reviews

From his astonishing early days as a DMC world champ by age 15 to his acclaimed DVD "Sunglasses Is A Must" to releasing 2007's monumental Dirty South Dance mix (Obey), Montreal-born and New York-based DJ A-Trak has consistently exceeded all expectations of a traditional DJ. He launched his own record label, Fool's Gold Records, toured the world non-stop as a solo artist and as Kanye West's DJ, produced and helped develop the career of much hyped Downtown Records recording artist Kid Sister, and remixed tracks for prominent artists such as Bonde do Role, Boys Noize, Simian Mobile Disco, Kanye West, and Digitalism. Recently garnering many rave reviews for his performances during SXSW and WMC, A-Trak has also been tapped by Jay-Z to act as musical director for his Heart Of The City tour.

that ad is definitely jay riding his own dikk for 3 minutes. its just jay mumbling shyt to others for an incredulous amount of time. jay is cool and all, but that is some attention seeking behavior if i seen it

from the ad, its difficult to gather the workings of the app or that the first million to sign up will get the album. all you know is he's putting out an album. i'm excited for a new album but no way was that not corny

Local DJ?

He's the type of DJ that goes on tour. I saw him vs. Just Blaze spin at a club a few months back. Awesome.

Hmm, well there ya go, first I'm hearing about it. Did he actually go on the road with them or just help put the shows together?

A-Trak is not a "random local producer" he's a world famous DJ.

He won the DMC at age 15

He was Kanye's tour DJ and he runs Fool's Gold.

Yeah
Yeah it's pretty corny.

Now that I think about it this goes completely against kanyes recent campaign against "suit & tie" corporate control and interest within the music industry.

Literally business man vs. artist

It's obvious this dude is mad about something that happened in the background and we have no idea of. Probably label and business shyt with Jay.

You don't burn bridges with Jay-Z that easily just because you disliked a commercial. :aicmon:
