Should Adam Silver & the NBA go back to a best of 5 format?

MLB season 162 games and their divisional series 5 games

Nobody wants to watch 7 games of an nba 1st round go back to 5 games

Classic upsets like heat losing to Knicks ,sonics losing to nuggets

We have actually had more upsets since going to best of 7 but I agree. It aint happening though.

NLDS will be 7 games within the next decade and thats being conservative. NFL will be 18 games and 8 playoff teams. All leagues and networks want more games. NBA just went so crazy in the 80s out of desperation that they were so far ahead. Baseball and football could afford to be more conservative and frankly didn't need to expand and they just being greedy now.

I look at it the other way. Why play all those games just to play multiple long ass playoff rounds? Baseball used to go straight to the World Series. Then they added the NLCS. Honestly, thats enough after playing 162 games. But we all know money talks

What is the percentage of 1st & 2nd games that go 7 & are entertaining? 7 games for the Conference Finals & Championship makes sense at that point as it’s the best teams
