If they inherited your stupidity I'm pretty sure they're going to be down syndrome retarded with large egg shaped heads and receding nappy hair.

Links to some resources? Also, where are you from? :thinking:For one thing, Kiswahili is waaaaaay easier to learn than Igbo or Yoruba. Yoruba is a tonal language and the average English speaker is NOT HERE FOR ALLA DAT!!!! I know people whose parents speak Yoruba to them AT HOME who got their faces cracked trying to learn Yoruba the university level. So WTF I look like as an American trying to learn it???? I think Kiswahili (as there are lots of learning resources) IS a good language to learn. Especially with the tech sector growing in Kenya. I can do a little bit in Hausa, and I know maybe ONE WORD of Igbo, but Kiswahili is spoken over a very wide region and is a very friendly language to learn.
Another dumb idea. What would be the purpose? To hide what we are saying from other races?
We can communicate just fine the way we are. Just be open minded to accept each other's cultures and unite and support one another. White people across the world don't speak the same language.
No. Why should I as a Nigerian learn Swahili?? What use is that for me??
Why cant all black people learn Yoruba or Igbo??![]()
I'm good with English G.
Really, Igbo and Yoruba is where the money is at.
Lmao imagine asking a bunch of Nigerians to learn Swahili
Well If your talking about African americans adopting a language then I have no input on that. Thread starter on the other hand was talking about blacks around the world all speaking swahilli. Yeah that aint happening. Afrcians are not throwing away their languages to learn Swahili. Africans have their own history and cultures that have been passed down for generations through their indigenous languages. Why push that away for swahilli?? We already have English and French and that is enough.
Plus what does the growth of the tech sector in Kenya have to do with learning Swahili?
..fukk that.
Just learn pidgin english. regardless of region, most africans identify with this form of creole/vernacular.
I remember Umar suggesting this idea and I agree. it would be awesome to have one less barrier between us.

:ill: OP is a super c00n but he makes a good point.
ITs cool for all black people to keep their cultural diversity and languages but black people world wide need at least ONE common language that was not taught by our oppressors. Why use English when it was taught by the slave masters in America. Why learn French when the colonized parts of Africa, Why learn spanish when they too colonized parts of Africa, Why learn Arabic when they played just as big of a part in the slave trade as the cacs in America. Why not learn Kiswahili or Swahili?
Black people need less barriers between us. Image this...what if every state in the United States spoke a different language and had a different government. The country would slow down exponentially due to all the barriers and constant conflicts due to people not having common ground. Image living in Atlanta and speaking a completely different language than people in Mississippi.
If black people had one language they can do business across borders much easier, they can build infrastructure easier, they can politic much easier. I think it is a great idea. Once black people have a black owned school, we can make it part of the curriculum and in about 10-20 we will have an entire generation of black people that all speak one Afrocentric language regardless of where they are from.

Doggy,I don't think its dumb at all. If you've worked with other minorities they quickly go into their native tongues to hide their discussions. This is a tool that could help us...I can't shun it. I actually envy not being able to do this. How many plans have been foiled because we didn't have this tool?
Doggy,
What I'm saying is language is a skill that can be LEARNED. You learn a language and a white person can LEARN it too.
I speak 4 languages give or take. English, believe it or not, was the 4th language i learned. It has eventually evolved into my secondary language since i've been here so long but I dindt speak a lick of English before i was 15.
Being Hatian, Kreyol is my natural language. Every thought that goes though my mind I have to translate it into English before i express it to YOU. But believe me I know white people who learned to speak kreyol better than some haitian kids that were born here. Swahili wouldn't be any different. Sure it's a language that adds another barrier between you and your oppressor but i feel like its impact would be minimal. THIS COMING FROM ANOTHER LANGUAGE SPEAKER
Breh...I never said others (non blacks) can't learn the language too. My entire post says that it is important so that, no matter where in the world you go, other black people will speak a COMMON language that is Afrocentric.
