It’s always somebody fault. Nikkas went from blaming the white man to blaming immigration. It’s never our fault.

shyts crazy....as a man no matter what happened to me I know that I am at majority fault.

I see a million threads condemning the white man and illegal immigrants but I rarely see any threads condemning us as a group and our failures.

These people really do believe in white supremacy. If u think they held you down for so long and only through their help and sympathy that you gain level footing then what’s that saying about us and whites. If they are the cause of our problems and the solution, what is that saying about us. Nikkas ain’t got no fukking pride that’s the problem.

I don’t believe in white supremacy, I think in 2019 black people have all the tools to succeed in America. It may be harder for some but then again life hard for the majority of people on Earth.
:salute:

These nikkas hate accountability though so expect hate.

It is more complex than that.

There's a NYT article about the "numbers" in Harlem. Something like 60-70% of Harlem residents were involved directly or indirectly in the numbers game, "an estimated $800 million to $1.5 billion a year."
The Daily Lottery Was Originally a Harlem Game. Then Albany Wanted In.

Think about that for a second. An essentially illegal game was generating a massive chunk of a Black community's wealth.

How much do you think crack cocaine and heroin were making for the Black communities, when there weren't any White or Grey Market jobs available for hundreds of thousands of African-Americans?
Any person with more than a Freshman's understanding of economics and finance would understand that when there are prime money-generating opportunities, they will be filled by those in need of money.

The United States failure to continue to support the development of communities of people it subjugated for centuries is the reason why drug dealing was such a big part of the economy.

I don't excuse the violence as much, but there weren't any trauma services available.

Hell yeah they should be held accountable...I came up in the 90's like a lot of dudes on here

i watched cats go from high top fades and doing the roger rabbit to wanting to be Caine from menace 2 society :mjlol:

they knew what they were doing and got caught up - most of them (that are alive) are on social media now trying to tell people not to do what they did blah blah blah..

They fell for the trap and didn't listen to the old heads who saw what was coming...survival of the fittest

The Land That Time Forgot
By 1988, many folks began to realize that our once-proud "neighborhoods" were transforming
into volatile "'hoods."

The headwinds from the Crack Trade Culture going into the 1990s became too hard to overcome.

In 2019, we have dudes reminiscing about Rich Porter and Alpo the way our great-grandfathers talked about seeing Willie Mays and Hank Aaron in the Polo Grounds in the 1950s.

"In 1988, during a concert by Boogie Down Productions and Public Enemy, a young fan was killed in a fight. The killing occurred shortly after Scott La Rock, a founding member of Boogie Down Productions, was killed in a shooting. KRS-One responded to these deaths by forming the Stop the Violence Movement to advance a vision of Hip Hop that would restore what he called Hip Hop’s original principles to the music industry. Composed of some of the biggest stars in contemporary East Coast Hip Hop, the movement released a single, “Self Destruction”, in 1989, with all proceeds going to the National Urban League. A music video was created, and a VHS cassette entitled Overcoming Self-Destruction—the Making of the Self-Destruction Video was also released."

White supremacy is real, but not everybody in the hood sold drugs.

Some of these people were chasing a lifestyle that wasn't sustainable in the long term.

Just like everybody in the hood wasn't dope fiends.

I know y’all nikkas don’t like to read but here is a good long article about how black people up North wasn’t allowed to climb the “crooked ladder” to gain footing in America like other minorities (Irish and Italians). The Irish and Italians had a massive advantage by their white complexion and wasn’t as hated as black people.

The Crooked Ladder

I did zero research lol but I think the increased police presence and over policing was caused by the drug trade and racism no doubt. The mob rarely was into drugs they was into more white collar crimes they still committed murders tho. Most of our top criminals dealed in drugs and there was a major war on drugs. shyt ripped out communities apart. Honestly it seem that we just caught a bad break wrong time frime and wrong product to be pushing. When the black gangsters ran the numbers back in the day they was extremely successful and it actually helped the black economy but the drug game had the opposite effect.

:mindblown:

White supremacy or white supremacism is the racist belief that white people are superior to people of other races and therefore should be dominant over them.

Your reading comprehension just a little off.
I don’t have the belief that white people are superior to people of color.

The only people that believe in white supremacy are white people and c00ns.

Nikka you just dumb :camby:

Did anyone force us to buy and do the drugs? No.

Is anyone forcing whites to buy and do the drugs? No.

The difference is, they have people in power positions who will allow them to use tax dollars on rehab, which gives them a chance to change their lives around. We weren't given that opportunity back then. They also have enough people willing to hire them with a criminal record.

I think there is a mentality in the hood that they will never have a better life, but people tend to continue in the socioeconomic status in which they were raised. Do any other groups have a high record of people breaking the cycle of poverty?

Are whites in the midwest, rust belt, and appalachia magically creating jobs, and pulling themselves up by their bootstraps? Are white men being profiled, and cars searched for heroin, meth, and mass shootings?

Even when we do everything the right way, there is still a system in place trying to make everything we do more difficult. A black doctor doesn't experience less racism just because he has money, snd is successful.

@Deangelo B. you god damn CAC.. read this shyt 100x :pacspit:

Above the fray.
Who commited all those fukkries in the 70s/80s/90s be held accountable or were they setup to fail?
Im talking about the drug selling, the robberies the murders etc.

Only asking because im on the tellemblancosentya ig page and seeing all the guys in jail doing football numbers got me thinking.

I remember a fella called kendu from nyc got posted on here and hes currently serving something stupid like 200 years.
I also remember a thread about pappy mason got posted here and two comments that stuck with me which went something like "they were setup by the government to fail because they purposly pushed crack in these black areas and i feel sorry for them" which was kinda true.

So my question is should these gang bangers who are doing football numbers many of whom made a mistake be held accountable or should the government be held more accountable. And do you feel sorry for these criminals.
The answers in this thread should reveal who really grew up in these environments.
Majority of the people who did, have no love for the criminal element who helped destroy these communities.
I know I don't.
