Families are institutions. You marrying someone is supposed to be collateral for asset transferring. Thats why women are smart for always wanting to be around family, always telling their family everything about you. Cultures outside the US always do that. This is also why virginity mattered.

You're talking about the finest women. Yes, it would be exceptionally difficult for average men to end up with attractive women, but there'd be plenty of average looking women around. You're assuming Drake would cuff average chicks just for the sake of doing it...he'd probably stick to the 9-10s.
You're also assuming in a modernized western polygamous society women wouldn't be allowed to marry more than once. No one said the women married to Drake or Bezos couldn't be married to you or me as well. We might not get to spend the same amount of time with them, but they could have several husbands.
Also, good looking men would get to fukk as much as they want. The women would be free to have sex with the men they truly want to now that they have financial security. I think you're viewing polygamy through traditional lens. Women are more sexually free and empowered than they've ever been. If you honestly believe those 5k women Bezos is with or those thousand women Drake is with won't be fukking other dudes when he's away I don't know what to tell you.
Now the men who are both broke and ugly will be the losers. They will have no chance and ultimately end up alone and miserable.

They don’t pick stand up guys who will marry them .
