Relapse is easily his second best album, that shyt was insane production wise and insane lyrically, I don't understood how anyone could dislike that album. He was doing that dumb accent too much, that's the only knock I can understand, but the music was still A1 all the way thru.

Relapse would've been better without the serial killer theme, if he dissed the rappers he said he was gonna do on Recovery them it might've been better. The content of that album is unlistenable.

Nah, he should've kept the serial killer concept and THEN dissed these wack ass rappers by murdering them off one by one.

Shyt would've been unique and piff.

i guess he could've kept the serial killer theme, i just didn't like him working with artists he said he was gonna diss, it made him look soft as shyt. those rappers basically changed the landscape for the genre and made it harder for lyrical rappers to be looked upon without compromising their art. seemed like the label pressured him to do it, especially when he claimed he was the best rapper alive at the time.

Both albums were ass. He should have retired after Eminem Show and the 8 Mike soundtrack so he wouldn’t continue to damage his legacy

EM should have released relapses without that annoying accent.
:francis:

Ok, pick a song with the 'accent' to be done with a regular voice, which ones specifically because it seems like that has just become a general complaint.

Is 3 AM one of those songs? He sounds deranged, it wouldn't want him to lose the 'accent'. He had a little twang on Same Song...keep it, My Mom..wouldn't work without it (I actually fukk with that song heavy for the most part)...how many songs actually had the funny vocal inflections and which ones were just completely out of context from all of these raps coming from some deranged serial killer?

:ld:

I mean it gave the record some character if you ask me, but again, it's a mainstream horrocore album where one of the biggest 'pop' stars in entertainment is doing some borderline Kool Keith shyt.

Hands down his best album, dgaf what anyone says. That sh*t made me feel him as an artist and the word play was ridiculous. His last 3 albums have been a wtf factor for me, wish he would've just kept it in relapse mode the whole time :ld:
