Should every country have nukes?

Iran, North Korea, etc. Should the UN actively help every existing nation get nukes in order to stop the possibility of global nuclear war? The line of reasoning would be that if everyone has nukes, no country would use them for fear of getting nuked by the other countries with nukes.



Also, along the lines of the the Sandy Hook shooting and the NRA's line of "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun,", would you think this logic extends to heavier artiliery... like nukes?

maintaining, securing and disposing of all the waste is a long term investment that i don't think many nations can handle.
