What benefits do they receive?
Government workers get garunteed pension, better sick days vacations etc and have the strongest unions. They for the most part are better off than their private sector counterparts due to the strength of their unions. No fault of their own, but a testament to the strength of workers who organize

So you agree benefits are a good thing then? Perhaps advocating for greater benefits for all would be a more noble prospect, friend?

I am advocating benefits for all friend. The idea that government workers should be exempt from tax has no feasible benefit to society really except for creating antimosity and a hole in the budget. Furthermore, every worker is given deductions based on their needs so this idea is moot. A more equitable distribution of the current tax code would benefit more people than outright exemption.

I agree with you. I have a question though. Why do the rich despise the poor? Surely their privilege and wealth, "equitable share" perhaps is the largest.

The rich dont hate the poor they generally dont like having to give the poor more money in taxes or just about anything. The idea that the rich are being leeched off by the poor is ancient and has been excacerbated by the progressive tax system. That being said many in the upper class recognize this and allow social programs to take foot like in the western developed countries. The people, depending on how organized they are, can never really be suppressed, only placated, so you can never really have a situation where an elite upperclass gives absolutely nothing to the poor masses unless its a total outlier dictatorship, like NK. As like as we have the tentative illusion of democracy, we can vie for change.
