its pussies like you who accept shyt like this why companies continue to put out unfinished games with the attitude 'we'll just fix it later'

That's cute. I got a complete game. I paid $60 for GTAV because I was buying GTA for the same reason I may have ever gotten a GTA game - for the single player campaign. I get that Online was an attraction for some people but if that's the only reason they bought the game or that was the only thing that made the game $60, they should have waited to see how it actually turned out. Not doing their due diligence is their own fault. If you're emotional about this whole thing then it sounds like you should adjust your buying pattern, not me. I got more than what I asked for.
I respect the analogy but there's also a learning curve. Your not going to buy a game on day one and know what your doing. That's why many people bought it on day one. These multi player marches are competitive and running around getting clapped and not knowing what your doing is..... Aggravating at times. So Imean a day oone cop is almost standard procedure.
That's a good argument and I hear you. Me personally - I can't go that route. If I'm not sure how an online is going to turn out or if I expect there to be server issues (which I absolutely would for a game of this scope and popularity) then I wait. I'm not worried about sucking because I feel I'll catch up. For example, I bought the game a week after it came out after hearing from posters (not just reviews) how good it was and how it was much better than GTA4 and I made it to the top of the COLI leaderboards on PSN for the gun range challenges I've done so far. But yeah, if people are worried about getting left behind, I can see your point.
if someone has a great idea for an online-only game, should they not attempt it because there might be issues? should they be forced into creating an offline mode? (those questions are separate from those particular games, and whether or not Sim City/D3 would work offline)
Rockstar should have just called this a "beta". it wouldn't change anything, except people's expectations
You make great points. D3 and SimCity didn't need to be always online, so my point stands with them as you said. But yeah, if someone has a great idea for online-only they should go for it even if there might be issues. I have no issue with that. And yeah, R* probably should have called this a beta. It probably would have went better.
Breh I'm also not going to call you a pussie Lmfao like that other dude. I'm just discussing and explaining.
Haha, dude is emotional
