He would have received a lot of the independent vote that Hillary gave up to Donald. People this year are "Anti-establishment". Bernie represented that to people. He also would have gotten a lot more young people and minorities to vote. But it's all could woulda shoulda bs now and none of it matters.

This is what happens when greed becomes the norm, for probably 30 years or more in America and other Western countries politics has become nothing more than a corporate suck off event. You only have to look at how living standards have declined or at least stagnated while a select group has grown unbelievable wealth.
Trump might be rich but he did talk about how free trade has fukked the American middle class in favour of Wall Street, he probably won't do anything about it but he did talk about it which is more than most American politicians (Bernie Sanders excepted).
For most people me included the centres of power look ever more like a bubbles filled with self serving barons. Michael Moore put it best when he said it was a chance to throw a human nuclear bomb in the system. You want someone to blame don't blame the idiots in Texas, blame the idiots in Washington, New York, Hollywood and Silicion Valley, this one is on them and it's been decades in the making. It's a protest against elements of globalisation and the chaos it's brought to many places.

He won working class whites that are traditionally democrats cause Hillary is so corrupt and despised.
Bernie would have won those states cause he would be saying the same message about Washington corruption as Trump but he wouldn't be a lunatic.
Hillary lost this race. Trump didn't win it. Any other democrat woulda won.
