I always look at it like this. Always have it just in case of emergency. If shyt hits the fan like it did for the jews and rwandans, you can always escape to another country the way they jumped on ships and leave. I guess you can make your way to Canada but I will bet it would be flooded, and I'm not certain but don't they require a passport too? Better to have it handy just in case. Raining nukes or a fascist leader rounding up people can't be good. Sure you can fight, but if you're too old, it's best to just flee.

Yes. It is now becoming a national ID, even if you don’t travel internationally.

the irony of this statement is that no matter how far u go ur still confined to a pale blue dot

and to answer the OPs question, the answer is simply no

because no one really cares, I certainly don't, whether u do or not. Complete indifference to the idea or whether u have a passport. It simply doesn't affect me

The only individuals who might care are those who like to judge others based on superficial things, same individuals who judge people based on the shoes or clothing they wear. If ur unfortunate enough to be in such a beings presence then u honestly shouldn't care what they think, just feel sorry for them that they need to judge others in order to feel better about themselves and keep it moving

I'd want to believe that the majority of people don't have one.

To be honest, the only reason I have one in the first place is because I'd been traveling to Haiti since I was 6 and, every other time, I'd use it was to drive over to Canada.

At this point, I just renew it. If I'd never had to do that, I don't know when I would have ever applied for one or gone through the trouble of getting one.
