Should I be outraged that my daughter is playing "JailBreak" in gym class?:patrice:

So I asked my daughter how her day was at school and replied with "It was great, we played "JailBreaker in gym class"

She explained that its sorta like tag with a cops and robbers twist. This wasn't just something the kids came up with cause she told me the gym teach showed her how to play.

It just doesn't sit right with me. In light of recent events and overall American history I'm not sure I'm ok with a bunch of little black kids pretending to run/escape from police.

Contemplating whether I should say something to the teacher or not. Am I overreacting? I played way worse shyt as a kid, but it wasn't in gym class.

The only way i'd say something is if all the "cops" were white. Otherwise, as i've said in a few other "parent" type threads, let the kids be kids while they can. ...Now if they start play "Slave escape" or some shyt like that then yeah there's a problem.

Ask your child if all the escapees were black and if the all the cops were white. If she says yes...I would address it. Nowadays you have to be careful with every teacher playing games or teaching lessons that may indoctrinate them. Keep talking to your child about what goes on in school, so you have a good indication of what you feel you should react to.

It's a predominately black school. The gym teacher is an under 40 year old black man, which makes me wonder about his total lack of self awareness on the issue.

Clearly you should say something to the teacher. Game racist as fukk. Any cacs playin jailbreak in elementary school? I dont remember playin that game in any cac schools i went to. THats some afterschool shyt.

At this point, be glad there's an actual gym class and they allow them to run around. As mentioned before, as long as it wasn't on some white cop vs black robber steez, then there really shouldn't be a problem. You don't wanna be that parent unless it's absolutely necessary.
