Should I buy a PS4 or Xbox one when I get paid on Friday?

Are you saying that it's nicer and easier to navigate through all those options on the xbox one compared to the PS4?

I thought I was out of my mind considering all the defending some cats on here are doing when I tell them that the PS4 OS doesn't even compare when it comes to everything outside of gaming.

To me it is.

Pretty much everything I want is snapped like a desktop.

Only thing I don't like is the chat features and navigation. I hate that it snaps whenever I start a party and trying to invite friends to parties and shyt... But it's tolerable

Online on ps4 is awful I only use ps4 to play single player games.

How is it awful when it plays exactly the same as Xbox? Call of duty, battlefields, etc play exactly the same online. You got your party system, sharing and streaming working virtually the same. Look at the COD beta thread, shyt full of people complaining about freeze and lag and blurry gfx for the Xbox one version. I bet the reason y'all even say this nonsense is because of perception i.e. you get lag on Xbox it's the game or player, you get lag on Ps4 it's PSN.

So what, you're like some hardcore gamer who uses your PS4 for just its games with graphics you could barely tell the difference

I play more games on my Xbox than I do my PS4... And PS4 barely has any exclusives worth playing.

As for Ps4 not having exclusives worth playing, that's subjective. Driveclub, Bloodborne, Until Dawn, TLoU, Infamous, Persona 5 , SFV and a myriad of digital titles are def worth playing.
You not caring about them is a lack of interest on your part, not a lack of choices.

All of those games you listed don't interest me at all or have an Xbox equivalent that's better

I prefer to play Uncharted, The Last of Us, Bloodborne, Persona 5, TLG, Until Dawn, Horizon and get free games with PS+ every month while having a better online experience with MP games because unlike y'all stans I realize "lag" is a real world problem not a "console" problem.

PS4 has system wide button config change features. Can you share your gameplay and let others on your friendlist play while in a party?? Can you stream to a phone, tablet or handheld device that's officially supported OUTSIDE your home network? Can you plug any headphones into the Xbox One? On PS4 it's built in, on Xbox you gotta BUY another accessory to do that.
Man it's plenty of features on PS4 y'all just like to pretend it's not there or y'all simply don't know about it. Either way that's cool no need to go on further y'all got ya mind made up.

The Xbox is the best (not hacked) media box out there, the shyt basically does anything you want it to do and plays next gen games.

Xbox one can't even play background music while gaming without Snap taking a portion of the screen.
Ps4 spotify or media player plays in the background though.

Don't bother with these clowns. You literally had @Fatboi1 mention background music...I wasn't even a fan of that nonsense when Microsoft introduced background music in games all the way back with the OG XBOX.

I see the benefits to the PS4, but when it comes to media...it's just not even comparable. When we get into specifics it is all just downplayed, hell the HDMI IN port pretty much destroys any argument the PS4 side can come up with in terms of media IMO. When it is brought up, the counter is "but can't I just turn off my console?", sure you can...but you don't HAVE to turn it off or change the input on the xbox. You can simply just say "XBOX, Watch TV". That is an EXTREMELY convenient feature that cannot POSSIBLY be done on the PS4. No input setting changed, nothing disconnected or turned off. Simple, Easier...Better.

How can it even compare? It's fine that the PS4 OS is "efficient" because it's narrow focus on gaming...it excels in that and there is no argument. The PS4 has the better hardware and an OS that is all centered around the gaming.

So background music while gaming uninterrupted on PS4 is not a big deal but HDMI IN port on XB1 is?? I see you dudes have funny reading comprehension. The argument isn't TO TURN OFF THE XBOX, it's WHY SHOULD someone who is fine with a PS4 and has a cable box go out and buy a XB1 JUST for some HDMI in feature? You don't see how silly that sound? You think the average Joe is out here suffering because when he's done playing COD on PS4, those 1.5 seconds it takes him to switch inputs to cable will have him going out his way to buy an Xbox One just because of that??




I'm not downplaying HDMI IN, I'm downplaying the "severity" you guys make it out to be because of it's lack of inclusion on the PS4. Besides that, PS4 users have something close to not even needing cable TV with PS Vue which I hear is pretty good. Also besides that, Netflix, PS Vue, Hulu, HBO, Dish TV App. etc on PS4 too so I fail to see why this HDMI in port is such a big deal.

I'm sorry but it's not something I see that's so big that someone WITH a PS4 will just up and switch over to XB1 just because of that. These "features" are something worth considering when deciding on buying either one but if someone already has one, I SERIOUSLY doubt THAT will make someone go out and buy a console. At the end of the day, why do these multi console owners own both platforms for?? GAMES right?? I rest my case. AIn't NO ONE buying an Xbox One because they can watch cable through another box. It's literally icing on the cake.
