It's not ridiculous at all, I still find it insane that people view as the Sony OS on the PS4 even comparable outside of gaming.

Considering that the Xbox one is connected to your hdtv, I think it's pretty damn important for casuals to be able to do things outside of gaming easier. Watch tv easier, talk to Kinect to launch all the other media apps. Smartglass and all that other shyt. I really don't think it's comparable tbh. It's all about the users needs.

Can't you just turn off the console to watch tv? Most cats now are not buying the Xbox ones with Kinect. The major streaming apps are on both consoles as well.

A PS4 cost more with no real added benefit to a casual gamer. 85% of games are released on both these days.

My preference is PS4 personally but from his perspective an Xbox One is the better value. It cost less and plays mostly the same games.

I played through Arkham Knight on my Xbox One and the slight resolution bump the PS4 has didn't bother me one bit and I could have bought it for that system if I wanted.

Pay 50 bucks more for the better Videogame system with most of the same media apps that people truly use. Devs are also catering more to it since it has almost double the install base. No brainer IMO, but I feel you.

I wouldn't say the PS4 is better than the Xbox One. The 6 or so major exclusives you pass up on one end you get 6 or so exclusives on the other side. It's pretty much the same system.

Now if you're into JRPGs there's a world of difference between a PS4 and an Xbox One but if you're a casual playing mainstream games you can get the bulk of those on either system.

If I can say this as a Playstation fan that also owns an Xbox One why can't you admit it? If you aren't playing JRPGs and Japanese style niche titles there's a minimal difference between the systems.

To me, the resolution is not a minimal difference. I can see how it is to others though.
