Absolutely. It's basically the expectation. If you don't get a call back then there's your answer :yeshrug:

I've only had an interviewer call me back personally like 5 times and even though it was disappointing to hear (because when someone calls me back I'm usually expecting them to say I got the job), I respect the hell out of that. Places will have you feeling like you gotta beg and shyt calling them everyday and shyt, stressing over how long the decision process takes and all that. Sometimes they'll even tell you during the interview they'll call you if you don't get the job, only to not call you. I hate that

usually you'll receive a call when u get the job. and an email when u don't. that's my rule of thumb.

Must be your industry/region, only time I have phone stuff is for the initial screen/s and then everything goes to email and portals. my complaint is time, them not getting back to me so deep in the process would be odd. And they always follow up. I would be pissed off if firms didn’t say yes or no at all, little regard for a candidate’s time.
No it must be YOUR industry. I've applied and been interviewed for positions ranging from software engineering to working at the executive office of the governor.

Why you getting defensive, I stated that’s never been my experience to not hear back after getting deep in a process.

And none of those industries have respect for your time clearly.
how do you figure am I getting defensive. I'm wondering what industry you're in. You sound like just a guess but NYC finance?

When I was out of work last spring, I used to hate the weekends as well because I knew that was two days where I couldn't be working on finding a job. If u continue grinding, something is going to come your way. Don't give up.

Honestly, best thing to do is to keep letting your resume flood the streets until you have a for sure offer in hand... even if you had some decent interviews or whatever, if you don't have an offer letter, don't stop applying. I had to apply to TONS of places for my first and even second job.
