should i cop a vita?

So I'm planning to get one of the next gen systems probably the Xbox so not looking to cop an actual system for the current gen. Wondering if I should get a vita in the meantime to hold me down. Is this shyt DOA or is it actually dope? Heard mixed reviews about it would like to hear the colis unbiased opinion

No. Very good system but the release list is looking very pathetic. Same with the 3DS. Now if you look at the current game catalog and find it adequate that's different.

I'd say don't buy it at full retail price. I just brought one last Thursday at GameStop, it was a used model for $189 including an 8gb memory stick, that's a good deal.

The problem with the Vitaid that, after a year, it's STILL struggling with releasing quality games. The hands down best game on the system is a niche JRPG (the very BEST in its genre to be sure). It seems With the release of Sly Cooper and MLB that they're trying to get things in gear but we'll see

but on the real, it doesn't have the best catalog, however, realistically you aint gonna get every game that get released anyway so if there are a handful of titles you would be interested in coppin, knock yourself out. best to get a cheaper one but do you

It might just be me...but I copped both a 3DS and a Vita and I play more PSOne/PSN/3DSWare/Virtual Console games on them than actual new releases.

To add on what others have wrote, I've had 2 ps vita. I originally bought one at launch, that I ended up selling around Christmas times because I barely played it. I just bought the assassins creed addition cause I'm assassins creed head, its great if you dont pay full retail, go on craigslist get it for like $150-180 and you will be happy. Also, make sure you at least get 16gb stick and playstation plus, Im eating good as shyt, just download Ninja Gaiden and Uncharted, made money back in just those 2 downloads.
