If you win or lose, the lawsuit will follow you, unfortunately. You need to consider the costs vs benefits. Was this a high paying job? Are you going to be unable to provide for yourself unemployed? Are you trying to get another job in the same field? I don't know the answer, but before you make big decisions like this, you need to try and consider everything.

Personally, I fukked shyt up big time in a previous industry of mine. I basically can't get a job in that field any more at all. I did what I thought was right, and it fukked me. Luckily, I switched fields so it was all good. But if I wasn't able to switch fields, what would I do?

Take it to the EEOC.
Disability Discrimination

Read this, and I'd file. They'll give you a determination on whether or not it was prejudice.

"filing" doesn't cost anything right? They fired me due to "performance issues" which is different from "articulate"

I can see it would be a problem if I had to speak to their clients myself during a time of stress but they won't tell me why they really fired me... I'm guessing they covered stuff up.

I'm old and not very experienced, I'm unemployed and if I can't find a job soon I was gonna move to Jacksonville and go work at Marshalls and call it a day, I don't have shyt to lose with IT. I'm a older pretty much Newbie in the field and the job didn't pay shyt to be honest.

Job paid so little it's probably not worth it.....

Close to it, I was strongly considering it cuz I'll need to go back to school over 40... that's gonna be tough + pay bills...

I got friends who moved to pensocola, pretty simple minded dudes.

They fired me for performance issues but during the exit kept on saying articulate meaning expressing. I don't know if I should ask HR for a copy of my original application or not. I don't remember what I put on when I got hired.

Also it's a very small company, maybe 10-12 people max in the whole company. Very tiny...
Moving forward stay away from these kinds of companies, very few checks and balances..no good for brothers

1. Was your job aware of your disability when they hired you? Is it stated on your application/resume?

2. Is your condition self diagnosed or doctor diagnosed?

3. As an employee were you in good standing with the job before the termination?

I was gonna email them asking them to forward me a copy of my application and the papers I signed when I was fired.

I've been stuttering since I was 7 years old, I'm one of the few stutterers who never completely stopped. I do speak better now but it's still very noticable.

I cannot tell, I said it's a small company so they be on some "bro shyt" and I'm the only black guy there, also I worked there for almost 2 years and was released pretty suddenly. I knew the dude didn't like me but didn't expect to be done like that.

I have to ask for the papers since I don't remember putting it on the application but also proving I was fired because of it will be tough... they said "performance" which means something else. I'm also waiting on unemployment to get approved + my final paycheck with the vacation that they're going to pay me for not taking.

I really need to be protected since I'm so different due to my speech, I need a job that will have my damn back or a job that hires people like me cuz I'll struggle in the real world.

May have to consider goodwill or salvation army or something like that even if the money ain't great just someone who won't fukk me over.
