I ordered a patio bistro set off amazon thru a company called Northern Leisure. I get my delivery date. But on the day of my delivery date the company says it's not in stock and don't kno when it will be back in stock :wtf: So I call amazon to cancel my order. Get my money back in a few days. I then received this email from them.

So sorry that you felt that you had to leave negative feedback for us since your order was unable to be filled. We are an honest company that some times has stock outs. But we were honest with you and refunded your money. Some companies keep your money and do not produce a product. We wrote to amazon to ask them how to handle the negative feedback since we were out of stock. They said that they only thing we can do is to reach out to the buyer and explain and perhaps they will take off the negative.

See we get rated by Amazon, If we get very positive feedback we get points . If we get negative we get points taken away from us. We strive on positive feedback so we do not get suspended from selling on Amazon. We very rarely have the warehouse run out of items. But that time they did. The bistro still has not returned to stock yet. When it does and if your still interested we can offer you a $25 discount if you wanted to purchase. Our amazon site is closed right now do to a family emergency. We should be up and running in the next couple of weeks once my mother gets moved to assisted living.

So if you could find it in your heart to remove your feedback. You do not have to leave any feedback.

We would surely appreciate it and add less stress to our plate right now. We do understand that you are mad that we were unable to ship a bistro set out to you, but al least we admitting it and refunded your account promptly

Shouldn't be taking orders if you aren't certain you have the supply to accommodate the demand. They did refund your cash no problems and offered a considerable discount on future orders, but that should be an obligation when you deceive customers, not a luxury. The negative rating stays and I certainly wouldn't do business with them again.

They knew full well that they didn't have the item you ordered, why would you be notified on the date of SHIPMENT that they didn't have it in stock. Nope, tell them charge that to the game, maybe they'll move better next time

you don't run a business by selling first and checking stock after the transaction has been completed.
and you sure as hell don't run a business by listing your personal problems for sympathy.

fukk them and fukk you if you take down the negative review.

take your refunded money and purchase your product elsewhere.

but just consider that one day when some type of shiit hits the fan and it was an honest mistake on your behalf (they probably knew they were out of stock but couldn't update the product info, give them
the benefit of doubt), just remember how your patio set played out.


It definitely seems genuine and basically bent backwards, forwards and sidewards for you to ensure a positive rating.


I'm all aboot customer service and have fukked up in the past, but it was never intentional/deliberate. Mistakes happen.



Just something to consider. If it was a chinese retailer, i'd give zero fukks...



American merchants have way more integrity due to the review culture system our society is so immersed in.

forward that email to amazon it sounds like this happens a lot. Imo it sounds like they're bribing you to remove the negative rating:russ:$25 credit? Amazon gives you a full refund or the product or shipping when shyt like this happens, that company is ran by lazy idiots and potential customers have the right to know that before giving them their business.

If i needed that patio and was expecting it by a certain date, i'd keep that negative feedback. Ain't no worse feeling than be disappointed after getting your hopes up.

I stay snitchin on nikkas on amazon and getting credits to my account:blessed:

If I had to think about it this hard, then I'm already leaning towards forgiving them. I would see how long they've been in business or just do a little general research. If they seem legit I would consider letting it go. However, I probably wouldn't buy shyt from them again. Those ratings in general can make or break somebody who really did make an honest mistake. I've seen people get fired for that kind of stuff.

Then again, it's really real out here in these innanet streets. 05 fukk em. :manny:

Give them a 3, listing the cons but they they refunded your money quickly. Reviews/feedback is for future/potential customers, and they have a right to the truth. I buy from Amazon a lot and have avoided a lot of bad products and pitfalls (not ordering something I really need that take a long time to get, isn't of good quality, or otherwise wont meet my needs).
