I had that. Life will wipe out savings in an instant

damn. well at least you got the skills to bounce back

the last time i needed money (i probably didn't need it, just wanted it the fast way) i did a car title pawn. paid it back before any interest accrued tho.... i think it was one of those 30, 60 days no interest type deals

Although 30% APR is insane, you'd be a fool to pass it up if it's going to generate a $150,000 a year.

This. The loan terms on $4k are nearly irrelevant when you stand to make $150k a year. By all means find the best loan terms you can, but what you really need to be doing is putting some certainty around that $150k number. If that’s certain there’s almost no $4k loan that’s not worth it for that kind of gain.

I assume that $150k is revenue, not profit... what’s that profit projection looking like?

I have the option to buy a truck. According to credit karma I am pre approved for a 4000$ loan. However the apr is over 30% and will cost me $180 a week over 36 months.

I do need that loan but I doubt I will spend the full amount. The down payment only $1000 but I hurt wanted a few extra for other business related expenses that I might need.

The projected revenue of the truck is about $150,000 a year

30% interest rate is terrible but on such a small loan amount with the revenue you're going to generate, it's not necessarily a terrible idea.

Also, it'll be $180 a month, not a week.

0-2200 weekly

Then ya, like I said, the question you really need to be trying to answer is how likely it’ll be closer to that $2200/week vs that $0/week.

Cuz if you can pay that $4k off early, the interest really doesn’t matter. Even if it took you 6 months to pay it off, you’d be paying just $4,600 (with a 30% APR). Stressing over the rate is kinda pointless, you need to be stressing over the earnings from the truck.

Well the thread is about the loan not the truck revenue. I have researched about this enough to know what to expect to make
