My financee and I are going back to Africa next year. We're going to Tanzania and Mozambique but I wanted to check Nigeria for a few mainly historical-religous reasons. But I'm hearing it ain't really a good destination if you ain't got people on the ground right now. Can anybody tell me if this is true?

It's not really a tourist country. It's cool to visit though to get the experience.

It's best to have friends Nigerian that know people there to show you around.

Or I would get a guide that would be with you throughout your trip. Like plan picking you up and dropping you off at the airport. And sight seeing things you want to do. If you look foreign and sound foreign they will heckle you from sun up till sun down.
