Should i move to San Antonio or Baltimore/DC area?

Yes cost of living in some areas are high. But you can move closer to Bmore for cheaper rates.

Columbia is nice, laurel is cool you can find a nice house there, hyattsville decent just older community, Largo decent both older and new model houses. Lanham same deal but some newer houses are

D.c is expensive!! Either you live nice or live in the hood there are really very few places that are in between.

Silver spring md is also nice and some parts are reasonable.

Bowie is expensive, campsprings huge houses, Waldorf is split but they have some mega houses out there.

Huge houses out camp springs???? They do got them new joints on Allentown Rd huh?

I would advise nobody to move out there if they aint have to those.

Look At Upper Marlboro, Clinton, Ft.Washington, Accokeek before Camp Springs. Big New houses and smaller older houses as well. Still nice tho

md is expensive period not just dc everyone of those burbs and hoods inside of the beltway are expensive, my uncle was paying like 150k for a townhouse right around the corner from some projects in district heights a few years ago he moved to ft washington which is also expensive but a very nice neighborhood next to the hood (oxon hill)

funny you mentioned Laurel thats where that house i posted is! and yea believe me i been lookin thru all them areas houses online and it just does not stack up to SA tbh.. im lookin to spend 200k max on a house (like those houses i posted) and that wont get you nothin nice in maryland.. maybe an alright townhouse.. not even VA which i been lookin into also. theres nice houses out there,but you gotta pay out the ass for it. i dont think i could do it right now over there, and i dont wanna be tossin my money away on rent. i might move out that way later on down the line though

You got a child and a woman, I say move to SA, it's cheaper and it's better quality of life(no cold weather, schools are probably better, less hustle and bustle). Sure you're going to be away from your family, but you can always visit them every couple of months, and travel to other fly spots too(since you care about nightlife as well).

If you an East Coast dude like that San Antonio will take some getting used to but the living is comfortable. I was just there for AIT. The hispanic females are nice and there are plenty of them. Food is hella good aswell. You being an east coast dude will never FULLY feel at home but you will be comfortable. People are nice there too.

i been in texas for 14 years, and i still don't feel FULLY at home


but if you concerned bout that night life, austin's like hour and a half away....

Plus there's no state income tax in TX, bette/cheaper home especially when you factor in there's little to no weather damage that occurs where as MD/DC get hit with snow. And you don't have to worry about expensive ass heating oil deliveries....

You'll have more disposable income in TX.

The no income tax arguement is valid in this case. But not in most. Texas has HIGH property tax in order to boast its "no state income tax". But they still ain't higher then Maryland prop tax, and their rediculious mortgage tax.

I agree with you, much cheaper to live in TX, That and no snow in SA is the advantage.
