@David_TheMan and anyone else that knows

I saw this online ad and I'm about to buy this lab equipment to physically study on for the Network+/CCNA and CCNP exam down the line and was wondering if this kit was sufficient enough -- if not what do you recommend?

Is it a good or bad purchase on my end? :patrice:

There are 2 working switches and 2 working routers.
There is also another 2 devices a switch and arouter that are not booting.

There are also various crossover and straight through cables, and a serial cable.

Should definitey get you ready for the CCNA. I don't nkow what the CCNP entails, but as long as you have the switches you can suplement the routers with images on gns3. But yeah its good, just don't pay too much for it.

£25 quid, sounds cheap to me.:yeshrug:

Google says that's roughly $32.79 USD.

That GNS3 programme seems like a steep learning curve to figure out. :mjcry:

I so badly just wanna go back to study and have someone else plan this shyt out for me but I don't wanna waste anymore time and let life pass me by.:mjcry:

Thanks "G".:wow:

Thats cheap enough, jump on it.
There is a bit of a learning curve in using GNS3 but figuring out how to configure it and then configuring your switches and routers actually gives you better insight moving forward in geting comfortable with the cisco command line.
Don't get overwhelmed man, you got it, make your plan and just focus on one step at a time, before you know it you'll be where you want to be.

Save your money g. Everything is this world is going virtual. I'm studying for my CCNP with Eve-ng and the cisco learning library my job got me.

Boson NetSim is a good simulator product that will run you like 350 and they just had a 25% off sale end yesterday.

I'm going to be doing both. I personally learn best when I can physically get my hands on something so I can relate the theory to something tangible in real life.

I'll look into Boson NetSim but how is it better or differ from GNS3 or Packet Tracer?

Packet tracer doesn't have all the features necessary for CCNP study. For GNS3 you need to provide your own images. Netsim has premade labs and a build your own lab interface for your study.

Instead of searching around for iOS images I prefer the prepackaged Netsim product.

:ehh: I didn't know that. Money isn't an issue so I'll do some more research but I'll definitely look into it more.

So you recommend jumping straight into vendor specific certs?
