Yes, I went from the 7 to the XR and it was a great choice. Battery and camera are way better.

Go for it. I made a jump from note 4 to note 8 and the overall performance increase is noticeable.

Sure it will be the same with the iPhones

I just upgraded to 128GB today coming from 128GB 7. there's no comparision. the screen is so much bigger, and it's faster, and from what I read, the battery is light years ahead. I couldn't justify buying the XS especially since the only option I'd notice that's missing is force touch. I have been debating this purchase for months otherwise I would have had it a while ago. but sprint said they'd credit my bill $150 if I upgrade this week, and I got $250 from apple, so it's really like $400 in instant rebates, and I can live with that.

yeah, I was at work at little after 6. I left at 3pm and my battery was well over 50% today. which is cuz my iphone 7 constantly needed charging despite me having had apple replace the battery. they say this phone has the BEST battery in any iphone ever including the XS and XS max cuz the LCD uses less power.

and not having force touch is a non-issue IMO. I rarely use it, and haptic touch works just fine for me.

not having OLED means nothing cuz I never had one before. and this screen looks phenomenal in it's own right. not having 1080p means nothing to me on a screen that's only 6.1".

I was debating downgrading my unlimited plan I pay $55 for an unlimited that cost $40 where I'd only loose the 720p streaming and my mobile hotspot. I ended up buying my phone outright cuz all these leases and installment plans were confusing me. so I said fukk it. my bill low as shyt anyways.
