Should I warm up my Car in the winter?

If it's freezing outside I usually start my car up (2008 Chevy Impala LT) 1-2 mins before I go outside.

Modern cars have block heaters so it not necessary to warm up longer+ driving warms up the car more then idle. Just make sure don't drive the car hard until you see the temp gauge move up.


You have a Honda, best engines in the world... Hopefully you got the almighty K in there.

Rarely if ever, usually older cars that get neglected. Paint oxidation from the sun is more common

If you drive a car older than a 2000 model year you don't really need to warm up your car like that. Maybe a few minutes tops.

I'm not into wasting gas and idling my engine, blasting the heat for 20+ minutes when I can grin and bear the cold for 5-10 minutes and be on my way.
I just tried turning off the heat in the car while driving, the coolant heated up fast as shyt
